My body and brain are falling apart as my hormones change. It’s a vicious cycle. Hormonal changes have wreaked havoc on my ADHD and sensory sensitivity. I developed POTS and obtained an MCAS diagnosis. It’s a game of chicken and the egg, trying to manage one thing so it doesn’t trigger the other. It’s like a game of whack-a-mole and I am depleted. As an extra bonus, I am also non-binary.
It’s odd to be experiencing such a biologically rooted dynamic in my body when my gender is not neatly aligned with this rather gendered experience.
